Open Evenings & Visits To Newlands 
The best way to understand Newlands — the energy, the ambition, the warmth of our community — is to see it in action. Our main Open Evenings offer the full Newlands experience, while our small, ad hoc weekly morning show-rounds let you see the school on an ordinary working day, exactly as our students do. Talk to our girls, put your questions to our staff, and get a real sense of the place your daughter could hold here.
Year 7 Open Evening — 29 September 2026
Our Year 7 open evening is the perfect introduction to life at Newlands. Families can explore our classrooms, meet our staff and students, and get a real feel for the culture that makes our school so special. You’ll see the subjects your daughter will study, discover our House System, and learn how we support every child to thrive.
Sixth Form Open Evening — 26 November 2026
Our Sixth Form open evening showcases the independence, ambition and community spirit that define post 16 life at Newlands. You’ll hear from staff and students, explore our wide range of A Level and Level 3 courses, and find out how we help every girl take confident steps towards her future.
Day Time Tours
If you are unable to make our open evenings or prefer a smaller and more personal experience we also offer smaller tours. We do not run large Open Mornings as many schools do. Instead, during the Summer and Autumn terms, we offer small, personalised tours so families can see the school exactly as it is on a normal working day.
These tours include:
- visiting lessons together
- seeing our classrooms and facilities in action
- meeting staff and students
- the chance to ask questions in a relaxed, friendly setting
Daughters are warmly encouraged to come along — it’s the best way for them to get a genuine feel for whether Newlands is the right place for them.
