Girls’ School

Year Groups

Each Year Group is divided into six Form Groups, which correspond to our Six Houses: Austen, Bronte, Curie, Darling, Earhart and Frank. Each week, Form Tutors and Head of Year lead their Year Group in following the Pastoral Programme, which includes attending a weekly assembly based on Thought for the Week.

We encourage girls to become involved with a range of different activities: Inter Form Dance, the Year 8 Pantomime, The Big Play and our highly inclusive Spots Day are all examples of successful events. We also have an active Student Council and have trained some pupils to stand as Emotional Well-being Champions.

In addition to supporting girls’ Pastoral needs, Form Tutors and Heads of Year take an active overview of their Academic progress: each pupil will have two Academic Pastoral Meetings (APMs) with their Tutor each year and have access to Sixth Form mentors.
