GCSE Examination Results - Summer 2025

Outstanding GCSE Results at Newlands – A Celebration of Achievement and Resilience

We are thrilled to congratulate our Year 11 students on a fantastic set of GCSE results. It was a pleasure to welcome them back to school this morning and share in the celebrations of their hard work and success.

This year, 37% of all grades awarded were 9–7, and an impressive 87% achieved 9-4.

We are incredibly proud of all our students, from those who achieved straight 9-7 grades to those who secured the GCSE passes they needed to progress to their next stage of education.

These results reflect the extraordinary dedication and resilience of our students, supported by the tireless efforts of our staff and the unwavering encouragement from parents, carers, and families. The past few years have presented many challenges, and we are incredibly grateful for the strong partnership that has helped our students thrive.

Our Year 11 cohort has consistently demonstrated maturity, leadership, and determination throughout their GCSE journey, and today's results are a fitting reward for their efforts.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every student and wish them all the very best as they take the next steps in their educational journey. We look forward to welcoming many of them back to join us in the Sixth Form and are excited for what the future holds.

Well done, Class of 2025 — you have made Newlands proud.

GCE Examination Results - Summer 2025

We are delighted with the success of our 2025 Sixth Form cohort today. Our students have produced a fabulous set of well-deserved results with almost half of all grades being A*-B. The majority of our BTEC students achieved Distinction * or Distinction. It is always wonderful to see the students collecting their results in person and being able to both celebrate with and congratulate them. We attribute such success to the hard work demonstrated by both our brilliant Sixth Formers and all the staff who relentlessly go above and beyond to offer their support (something which the students are keen to frequently tell me!). Thank you and a huge well done to the entire Newlands community. We wish every one of our students the very best of luck as they begin the next phase of their lives.
