Following on from their success in the local netball league our Year 7 A Team were the recognised qualifying team to go through to represent Ascot and Maidenhead School Sport Partnership at the U12s Netball Berkshire School Games.

The girls played extremely well in difficult conditions with rain and wind to contend with, but managed to stay undefeated and win the tournament.

Congratulations to these girls for representing Newlands Girls’ School.  This is our second year in a row winning this tournament.

Well done to our U14 & U19 gymnasts who completed at the Southern Region Floor and Vault Competition on Sunday 9^th February 2020 at St Mary’s School, Gerrards Cross.    Boths teams won their age groups convincingly!  Further details to follow in 'Friday News'. 

On Tuesday 14th January 2020, Katie Chapman(Olympic Synchronised Swimmer), visited Newlands to give a talk to our students in  Years 7 and 8.   Further details are in Friday News (Term 3 No:4).  

This year in School Council, we took the initiative to organise a food collection for the local food banks. This time of year is difficult for many, so we are very proud that our school community has come together in order to help the wider commun
