Our Year 10 and 11 students attended the BCA U16 Football Tournament on Friday 21st October 2022. We are delighted to say that they came back victorious, having won the tournament! They did extremely well in not conceding a single goal and scoring 19 goals across 6 games! Well done girls!
On Friday 16th September all year groups spent the last period with their Form Tutor for a lesson of commemoration. Students were asked to take part in an activity which would pay tribute to life of the Queen.
One of the planned activities for the younger years was for each student to make an origami flower, which was used to make a collage of flowers, as shown above.
These were taken to WIndsor Castle on Friday afternoon, by two of our Heads of Year, to show our respect as a school.
As part of our Jubilee celebrations our Catering Manager very kindly made and donated the above cake for everyone to enjoy. It was truly magnificent and delicious!

Last weekend was incredibly exciting for Gym Squad. More than 25 girls competed in multiple disciplines across 3 days to claim national and regional titles.

Following on from their success in the local netball league our Year 7 A Team were the recognised qualifying team to go through to represent Ascot and Maidenhead School Sport Partnership at the U12s Netball Berkshire School Games.
The girls played extremely well in difficult conditions with rain and wind to contend with, but managed to stay undefeated and win the tournament.
Congratulations to these girls for representing Newlands Girls’ School. This is our second year in a row winning this tournament.
