Extra Curricular
In addition to academic success, students are also encouraged to take a full role in the wider life of the school. Prefects, led by a team of Deputy and Head Girls, effectively promote the Sixth Form by working with Years 7-11 and taking part in community service both in and out of school. Many girls are also enthusiastically involved in the sporting, musical and theatrical opportunities within school. Sixth Form Committees are active in decision making and organising social events, and the Head Girls chair the School Council.
Year 12 have one lesson of PE per week and also take part in the Enrichment programme where classes experience, on a rotational basis, sessions in subjects from ‘What the Greeks Did for Us’ to Modern Politics, basic Russian to public speaking. We also have a wide variety of external speakers delivering sessions on Fair Trade, safe driving, lifesaving skills and other aspects of social and moral development.
