Maidenhead Federation

As Newlands operates within a consortium of Maidenhead schools (Furze Platt, Cox Green, Altwood and Desborough Boys’ School), students who choose a subject in Option E may find that it is timetabled at another school. Groups of Year 12 and Year 13 travel out on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons to attend lessons at one of the other schools. This is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and gain an experience of education outside of Newlands. Students are supported by both host and base schools and find the experience enjoyable and rewarding.

Subjects currently offered through the Consortium in 2012-13 are:

Health & Social Care

Digital Photography

Government & Politics

Geology

Spanish

Level 3 BTEC Early Years
