Newlands has gone live on Music-sharing website NuMU - click here to listen to examples of original compositions and cover performances from all year groups.

If you go to www.NuMu.org.uk, you can listen to our girls' music, boost their listener rating, read comments people have made/make your own comments and see if any have made it into the weekly NuMu top ten.
 

BERKSHIRE MAESTROS "HANDS-ON" SESSION

At the start of term the instrumental teachers from Berkshire Maestros filled the school hall with an exciting arrray of instruments and provided demonstrations in a "Hands-On" session for pupils and parents. It was the perfect opportunity for the girls to try out any instrument they were interested in learning to play, and to learn about instruments with which they were unfamiliar. It was also a valuable opportunity for parents to seek the advice of the musical experts.

Among the instruments available to try were: clarinet, flute, saxophone, trombone, french horn, keyboard, double bass and drum kit. 

Berkshire Maestros are able to offer violin lessons at Newlands school.  There are available spaces in September for individual or group lessons.

Violin lessons usually take place in small groups during the school day. The cost of small group tuition next year will be £86 per term (just £8.60 per week).  Click on link below for further information.
